SEAFARER PROFILE

DAKILA BUWAN

When Dakila is not at sea, he resides in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. I come from a large family. Even though I am away from my family for many months, I am grateful for the money that I am able to send to my family.
The International Seafarers’ Center (ISC) was established in 1982 as a 501(C)(3) non-profit Christian organization. The ISC operates two hospitality centers that provide a cozy home environment for visiting seafarers.

OUR MISSION

The ISC mission is to take Christ to the nations by providing seafarers a safe harbor that they can call home. Our services aim to meet the spiritual, emotional, physical and material needs of thousands of seafarers who visit the Port of Brunswick, Georgia, USA, annually.

OUR VISION

The ISC vision is to be an ecumenical Christian non-profit organization exemplifying Christ's love through our services and programs that affect merchant mariners, our volunteers, partners and the community. We aim to be the best hospitality and humanitarian organization in the global maritime industry, serving people from all walks of life regardless of race, language or religion.
