THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO VISIT!

VOLUNTEER

If you feel called to share your time with seafarers who are far from home, you can become one of our nearly 70 volunteers.  As a volunteer, you can:
  • do ship visits. Get to know the needs of the seafarers and inform them of the services we offer that may meet those needs.
  • drive seafarers to town or to other requested destinations such as pharmacies and doctors' or dentists' offices. Often being in port is the last opportunity seafarers have to take care of needs before heading back out to sea for extended periods of time.
  • provide assistance at our Colonel's Island store. Assist with keeping the store stocked. Cashier when seafarers are ready to check-out. This is a great opportunity to interact with and get to know our seafaring friends.

DONATE

Your donation will contribute greatly to the life and spirit of our mission to provide a safe harbor for seafarers and care for their welfare while they dock at our ports. Your financial contribution will enable the ISC to:
  • provide free wi-fi and communication platforms that seafarers can access to keep in touch with their loved ones at home.
  • organize community engagement and run volunteer training programs.
  • maintain two recreational facilities for rest and relaxation.
  • maintain our fleet of vans used to transport seafarers to medical facilities, airports, shopping areas and to deliver packages to ships.
  • expand our facilities and develop more services that are relevant to seafarers.
