DORIS WADD

Doris was born in Charlotte N.C. and found her way to Brunswick by way of Florida. She moved to Brunswick, Georgia in 2013 with her husband Mel. She has family on St. Simons Island. The large ships coming and going in the river fascinated her so much that she wanted to be involved with them. When a friend told her about ISC, she got in touch with Robert and began volunteering three years ago. After three years of volunteering, she was asked to join the employment team and became the assistant volunteer coordinator in June, 2017. She still volunteers today.
“The mission of ISC is one that I really believe in. I feel we can, Live Local and Reach Nations, one seafarer at a time.”
